St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy

February 8 – 13, 2021 is Catholic Schools Week in the Brooklyn Diocese, a week when we celebrate all that Catholic schools have done for the children of the Diocese for over 160 years. Our parish is aligned with an excellent Catholic school, St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy, located at 241 Prospect Park West in Holy Name of Jesus Parish. SJWCA offers excellent all-day, in-school instruction for Pre-K 3 through Grade 8, carefully observing all COVID protocols. Registration is now open for September, 2021. Re-Opening of Our Church

The Reopening of St. John the Evangelist – St. Rocco Parish for Mass

 

Bishop DiMarzio has issued directives stating that churches of the Diocese MAY begin to reopen for the celebration of Weekday Mass on June 29th and for the celebration of Sunday Mass on the weekend of July 4th-5th. For the reopening the Bishop has issued the following directives that must be strictly adhered to:

 

-ALL MASSES are limited to an attendance of 25% of the capacity of the church while still adhering to the norm of social distancing.

-If you are advanced in age and have health problems please stay home*.

-If you feel sick or have a fever over 100 degrees please stay home*.

-If you are health compromised please stay home*.

-If you wish to enter the church you must bring a mask and wear it.

-You may be seated ONLY in the designated pews.

-To protect you and your fellow worshippers, receive Communion in the hand.

-Please do not touch or kiss any of the statues or sacred images in the church.

-There are to be no group gatherings /or/ communal devotions until further notice.

 

(*Bishop DiMarzio has absolved older adults with health problems and ANYONE

       with compromised health from their obligation to attend Sunday Mass.  You may watch

La Reapertura de la Parroquia de San Juan San Rocco para Misa

 

El Obispo DiMarzio ha emitido directivas que establecen que las iglesias de 

La Diócesis PUEDEN abrirse para misa diaria el 29 de Junio y misas dominicales el fin de semana del 4 al 5 de Julio. Para la reapertura, el obispo ha emitido las siguientes directivas que deben ser estrictamente adheridas como siguen:

 

-TODAS las misas son limitadas a 25% de la capacitad de la iglesia y los

       feligreses deben seguir practicando el distanciamiento social.

-Si usted es un adulto mayor y tiene problemas de salud, quédese en casa*. 

-Cualquier adulto /o/ niño que tenga problemas de salud, debe quedarse en casa*.

-Si tiene fiebre de más de 100 grados, quédese en casa*. 

-Si desea entrar a la iglesia debe traer una máscara y usarla.

-DEBE sentarse SOLO en las bancas designadas.

-DEBE recibir La Santa Comunión en la mano.

-NO toques ni beses a ninguna de las estatuas o imágenes sagradas de la iglesia. 

-NO habrá reuniones de grupos o devociones comunales hasta nuevo aviso.

       persona con problemas de salud, de su obligación de asistir a misa en
